MCS and CSS 2027: Understand the ICF changes and their impact on your credential, mentoring, and supervision

The introduction of the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) and Coaching Supervision Specialization (CSS) marks an important evolution in the coaching profession. These new pathways will impact coaches, mentor coaches, supervisors, educators, and coaching schools beginning in 2027.

This presentation provides a clear overview of the upcoming changes, including key timelines, requirements, and transition pathways. Participants will gain a practical understanding of how the new standards may affect their credentials, professional development, mentoring activities, and supervision practice.

Special focus will be given to the Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS), its implications for accredited coaching programs, and the opportunities it creates for coaches seeking to deepen their expertise. The session will also introduce the Coaching Supervision Specialization (CSS) and its growing role within the profession.
